Deputies with the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office spent Tuesday afternoon involved in two separate chases across the county.

Taylor lost control of his car at the intersection of Woodrow Road and FM 179, running away from the scene before being arrested while trying to hide behind a nearby bush.
Deputies say the incident started as a stolen check call. In addition to Tuesday’s arrest, Taylor was wanted on two warrants for burglary in Wilbarger County near Wichita Falls.
A woman who was in the car, 38-year-old Angela Rose Hammonds, was also arrested for an outstanding burglary warrant from Wilbarger County.
The second chase started around 4 p.m. when a man and woman stole a Dodge pickup truck near Shallowater. That chase ended near North Slide Road just before 5 p.m. when both tried to run from the truck.
The woman has been identifed as 33-year-old Crystal Dawn Carr. The man was identified as 42-year-old Lonnie Eugene Poole.
Both were charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, evading on foot, possession of a controlled substance and possession of fraudulent identification. Both were also taken to the Lubbock County Detention Center.
